Calmer Waters

Greeting everyone,

Just another week in Far Away (Rockaway). My week has been full of contacting people on the street. We have maybe 70 people who said they will come to church. Maybe 7-8 show up. That is actually good.

This week we taught a lot of Venezuelan families. There is a family shelter here in Far Rockaway. We are teaching 3 to 4 families who are Venezuelan. We can’t baptize the parents yet because they have to be married. We are trying to help them through the process of marriage so we can get them baptized.

My companion and I went to the building our church meets in. Remember from last week we meet in a business building on the fourth floor. We went to the roof and took some pictures. One is looking toward Manhattan and the other toward the Atlantic Ocean.

The other picture is the beach now hurricane Lee has passed by. It is a lot calmer. The beach is a one minute walk from our apartment.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I love being on a mission and serving as the Savior would.
