Hola Everyone, There has not been a lot going on in NY this last week. We had a baptism planned but the bishop held it off for another week. The baptism was for James who is 12 and from Ecuador. His family is all members and have been going to church in other countries and places in the states. The bishop wants him to come to church in our ward at least once. We are planning his baptism for this coming Sunday. This week is transfers. I have no idea if I will be staying or going somewhere new. I am ok with either. I have been in Queens for 3 months so it’s 50/50 in my mind. I took a picture of a festival for a group of Ecuadorians. The people blocked off the entire street in front of a Catholic Church. They had erected a pole that had prizes on top. If you could climb to the top, you could have what you grabbed. There were actually people who made it to the top. Greetings from NY,  This week has moved along quickly. I am still spending most of my time on Corona Ave talking  to everyone I see. I am amazed at how many immigrants come and go. It seems to be a cycle. I  see the same people for about 6 weeks. They then move on, find some work elsewhere or  move to look in another area.   We found a man named Michale from Venezuela. He left his family behind to look for a better  life. He told us how he walked and rode busses to the border which took about three weeks.  He simply walked in, filled out some paperwork and was free to go. He went to Florida first  where his brother lives then flew to Queens looking for work. He plans to bring his family to the  states when he finds a place to work and live.  Michale’s sprit is on fire. He was found  in Woodside (neighboring area) where  he went to church. Hola a todos, (Hello everyone)  I’ve been busy grinding the streets of Corona Ave. The train (subway) tracks go over this area  with a stop near by. This is where a lot of Latin people live both in apartments and on the  street. A lot of immigrants come both for help from other Latin people already here. Some get  into apartments and some just stay on the street. This a place where you have to get use to the  noise and chaos.   We didn’t have any baptisms this week but we have people that are listening to our message.  We mostly invite people to church, some show up, some don’t. To get baptized they have to  come to church and if they can’t or won’t come, it makes missionary work pretty difficult.   I have to come clean on something that happened last month. Not a lot has happened this week and that goes for the last couple of weeks, quit uneventful. I’m just doing a lot of normal missionary work. I have a new companion. He is from Arizona and is the first companion that I’ve had that is younger than me. It reminds me that I have been out a while and it feels pretty crazy. I have some cool pictures that gives you a view of where I am and what the streets look like. One of the views I will never get tired of is looking toward Manhattan. I can see all the tall building and have learned the names of most. The picture I have sent is one of the World Trade Center. I teach a lot of immigrants who just arrived into the United States. They are just sitting on the streets looking for shelter, work and food. We find some who are interested, take lessons and then.....disappear. I think they find work or a place to stay and leave the Shelter. A couple of things that I won’t get use to is the subways and some of the things people say to us. We talk to ...

This transfer has gone by really fast! I have seen a lot of miracles. Here in Queens we have been very blessed for our efforts. We had a cool miracle that happened as well. We were calling people who have been previously taught, seeing if they could attend church with us on Sunday. A lady named Daniela answered and said that she would bring her family with her. I just sent her the address and didn't think much of it. She came to church with her three kids. It was Daniela the mom, Dominica, Dustin and Sofia. They were all above the age of 8. All of them loved church and were very excited to learn more. After church we set up a time to teach them more. We taught them the restoration lesson and they loved it! The oldest daughter Dominca wasn't there. We told them that they could get baptized as a family that Sunday and they agreed! This week has been another really good and busy one. I would say that I am pretty used to the street that we contact on. I’ve never seen so many people. It's crazy, but there are a lot of good people. We also taught some very elect people that God placed in our path. This weekend we should be able to have 3 solid people getting baptized. It's super awesome to find these elect people, so I'm excited for this week. This last week hasn’t been mega eventful outside of missionary work, but overall a good week. We play a lot of basketball because every morning we play at the church with the district and P-days with the zone. So super fun. Thanks everyone for your support and prayers! This week has been crazy because of transfers. Overall I'm happy to be situated whereI am. I have been transferred to Rego-Park Queens after 6 months in Bridgeport. My apartment is not as nice as the one in Connecticut. I am going to miss having my own laundry machines for sure. Off to the laundry mat now. Another big change for sure is going from parking lots to crowed streets. There are a lot more people here than in Connecticut. I can see the Manhattan sky line from here, which is cool to see. I’m excited to see what going to happen in the future. I have a picture of some water that got on my leg from some little kids carrying water balloons and one exploded.
